District Goals 2010-11

Building Communities Bridging ContinentsMembership Goals: HAVE FUN – Membership goals focused on more than just quantity, be centered on the recruitment of a diverse group of duly qualified members from the surrounding business and professional community, including women, younger professionals, and Rotary and TRF program alumni.

Public Image Goals: HAVE FUN – The website will be given a new look and features to enhance the tools available to the clubs in the District. The newsletter will also have an new look and will find its home on the web site. The newsletter will be easily available to be downloaded for Rotarians that want to have something in their hands to read. We will continue to work with the public relations committee to publicize and support community and vocational service projects initiated by Rotary clubs throughout the district. We will be reviewing the steps for a Rotary International Media Grant and wrapping a semi trailer truck with a Rotary message. District 5320 will begin a challenge to individual Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Interactors to wear their Rotary Pins every day. Individuals with the longest continuous time for wearing their pin will be recognized at the end of the year

Service Goals: HAVE FUN – District 5320 will publicize community and international service projects. We will provide information and support so that every club in the district can be actively involved in at least one international service project by publicizing information on the website for easy access and information. We will have monthly trainings to bring added value to the clubs and their members. We will have informative and inspirational presentations at the Presidents meeting.

Foundation Goals: HAVE FUN – Celebrate 100% giving by every Rotarian in the District for giving to the Rotary Foundation even if it is $1.00. Bill Gates gave $355 Million to the Rotary Foundation – every Rotarian in the District can allow their treasurer to bill them $3.55 a week for Annual Giving. This is only $184.00 per member per year! We can meet and exceed our Polio Plus giving goals at the End Polio/Rotary Angel Game event and have a terrific inaugural Chili Cook Off competition. Let’s become one of the first ten Districts in the world to be a 100% Paul Harris District.

New Generations Goals: HAVE FUN – Actively support the creation of new Community Based Rotaract Clubs. Grow the youth exchange program. Encourage club participation in Youth Exchange, RYLA, Interact, Multiple District Interact Symposium and Rotaract. The Rotaract and Interact Leaders will be invited to participate on the District Advisory Board. Rotaractors and Interactors will be encouraged participate in the District Conference holding their annual meetings at the same time and be involved on the conference committee.

Fellowship and Knowledge of Rotary: HAVE FUN – All Rotarians in District 5320 are encouraged to make the 2010-2011 the Rotary year the year they have more fun learning more about Rotary and its service work throughout the world. Each Rotarian is encouraged to visit other clubs and to “Share the Rotary Experience” with others. Get 55% District participation in the “Wear Your Rotary Pin Everyday” challenge. Increase attendance at the District Conference.

HAVE FUN BEING, BIGGER, BETTER, BOLDER!
