Angels Game Details! Chili! Winners!
We Have Winners!
We have great news! Eight lucky winners have been selected for the Batting Practice close-up at this Saturday’s “Angels Rotary Night to End Polio Now”!
These lucky ticket holders are in “Group 1” and should meet at the Angel’s office at 3:40 p.m. to take the field for 20 to 25 minutes:
1. From the Anaheim Club: Club Section 348, Row F, Seat 6
2. From Los Alamitos Rotary: Club Section 347, Row E, Seat 7
3. From Cypress Rotary: Terrace Section 229, Row G, Seat 4
4. From Orange Rotary: Club Section 304, Row H, Seat 10

No First Pitch, But Something Even Better!
These extra opportunities were offered to us by the Angels organization, which had to withdraw their “first pitch” offer. (Too many good causes, too little time!) However, the Angels have also added:
Angel Collectibles for Auction!
We now have two major collector items that any Angels fan would cherish. These will be auctioned to the highest bidder with proceeds donated to The Rotary Foundation Gates Challenge Match to eliminate polio. Don’t miss the chance to bid on:
- A baseball autographed by Jered Weaver, top Angels pitcher, and
- A baseball bat autographed by Hideki Matsui, last year’s World Series MVP!
Pre-game bids will be accepted and bidders do not have to attend the game to make a bid. Just call John Burt at (714) 637-2685.

July 31st Game Day Countdown:
Everyone should come in the Orangewood Entrance, just west of the 57 freeway. Once inside, turn right and we’ll be near the BIG A.
2:00 to 3:00 PM: Chili Cookers may come in early to set up. Notify Kevin Padilla of the name of your chili representative.
3:30 PM: Parking lot officially opens and the tailgate party begins!
3:30 PM: Chili tasting begins. Buy a wristband and a bowl and become a judge!
3:40 PM: Group 1 Batting Practice Opportunity Winners meet at Angel’s office.
4:20 PM: Group 2 Batting Practice Opportunity Winners meet at Angel’s office.
5:00 PM: Chili judging ends
5:15 PM: Chili awards announced!
5:30 PM: Tailgate party equipment should be packed away.
6:05 PM: Game Time!
