Foundation Alumni Association
The Rotary Foundation Alumni Association of District 5320 was chartered by the Trustees of the Rotary Foundation on February 19, 2010. All former Rotary Foundation participants qualify for membership whether or not they are currently Rotarians. The Association provides a link between Alumni and Rotary and represents the views of members to The Rotary Foundation. Members may assist inbound Rotary Foundation program participants and help newly selected participants from Rotary District 5320 to prepare for their experience.
The first annual meeting of the Association took place at the District Conference on April 30, 2010. The following officers were elected for Rotary Year 2010-11:
- President: Jill Esplin (GSE Team 08-09)
- Vice President: Brad Darling (Ambassadorial Scholar 96-97)
- Secretary: Shawn Hinds (Ambassadorial Scholar 93-94)
- Treasurer: Veronica Orrick (GSE Team 08-09)
The Association will establish a Speakers Bureau of Alumni and will encourage members to participate in the projects of Rotary clubs, both locally and internationally.
Membership at the time of the annual meeting stood at 27. The Association plans to meet annually at the District Conference although the officers will meet more frequently. The group did not establish any dues or financial commitment for membership. The members will seek to inform other Alumni about the Association and encourage their participation. They request the assistance of Rotary clubs in this endeavor.
