Join Us for the El Tour de Tucson
Help Eradicate Polio and Meet Your Rotary Foundation Pledge!
On November 20, 2010, Tucson will once again host Perimeter Cycling’s El Tour de Tucson. Beginning last year, The Rotary Foundation and its campaign to eradicate polio from the world was made an official beneficiary of El Tour. This means that riders can collect pledges and those pledges will go toward Rotary’s campaign to End Polio Now, to match the $250,000,000 grant from the Gates Foundation.
If you are a Rotarian your ride does extra duty. Your pledges count toward your club’s obligation to match the Gates Foundation grant AND counts toward your next Paul Harris.
A local Tucson Rotarian is working to design kits, jerseys and shorts for the race.
