Angels Rotary Night to End Polio
For the third year, the Angels of Anaheim will host “Rotary Night to End Polio Now”. This event is a fun and easy way for your Rotary club to contribute to The Rotary Foundation.
On July 31, 2010, the Angels face the Rangers at 6:05 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., our clubs will meet under the Big A for a tailgate party and the First Annual End Polio Now Chili Cook-Off!
Last year, this event raised $20,000 for The Rotary Foundation Polio Plus fund. Some quick stats:
$9.50 of every $15 shirt goes to the $2 Million Gates Polio Eradication Challenge Match.
$17 of each $34 ticket goes to the RI Gates End Polio Challenge Match
What to do:
- Buy your tickets to the game and sell some to your friends! Great seats are available to see the Angels take on the Texas Rangers.
- Get your limited edition T-shirt, promoting Rotary’s campaign to End Polio Now! These won’t last, so encourage your club members to put their orders in today!
- Hit the cages! More info will be coming soon for the “Batting Practice Opportunity Drawing”! Four lucky winners will be on the field for an up-close view of the pregame warm up!
- Perfect your chili recipe! Your club members are encouraged to enter the first annual Chili Cookoff to be held during the pregame tailgate party! Don’t miss the fun and Rolaids!
- Your ticket may be selected to throw out the ceremonial First Pitch!
