Chris Skorina, District Governor, 2024-2025
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Chris graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1986 and from Boalt Hall School of Law at UC Berkeley in 1990. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Mission Viejo since 2012, where he served on the Club’s Board from 2013 through 2020 and as Club President in 2018-19. He was a founding board member of the Mission Viejo Rotary Foundation, serving on its board from 2014 through 2020.
Chris is a graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute and has had a variety of roles in Rotary. He has served as an Assistant Governor (2 terms), a member of the Advisory Board and Finance Committees, a member of the Action Resource Team, and as the District’s Youth Protection Officer.
Chris is a passionate advocate for The Rotary Foundation and is a member of the Paul Harris Society, the PolioPlus Society, the Bequest Society and a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation.
In his professional life, Chris is President of Skorina Law, P.C., a law firm focusing on litigation, estate planning, and corporate transactions. He has represented businesses and individuals in a variety of disputes in state and federal courts throughout the country. He and his wife Kristie have 3 amazing children, Nicholas (30), Zachary (28) and Carolyn (20) and two beautiful grandchildren, Nathan and Maeve.
In his free time, Chris enjoys hiking and gardening, which as he puts it, consists of managing a troubled relationship with several temperamental rose bushes.
