Greetings from Rotary Global Grant Scholarship Winner Taylor Plett

Taylor Plett is the 2022 recipient of the prestigious Rotary Global Grant Scholarship for graduate study abroad, awarded by Rotary District 5320. Taylor, who was sponsored for the scholarship by the Rotary Club of Irvine, is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance. We’re delighted to share she has taken time from her studies at the University of Oxford’s School of Geography to catch us up on her adventure abroad.

More about the Scholarship

Rotary District 5320 awards this scholarship annually to help prepare students for careers in one of Rotary’s seven Areas of Focus and to foster international understanding among people of different countries. Rotary’s Areas of Focus are:  Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development, and Protecting the environment. The district 5320 seeks applicants, like Plett, who can be outstanding Ambassadors of Goodwill.

The District Global Grant Scholarship Committee is open to receiving applications for the 2023-24 academic year.
